Emsur presents EM-Full RFlex, its new range of barrier monomaterial films for flexible packaging


The new PE and PP-based product line has been developed with the aim of improving the recyclability of flexible packaging by replacing conventional duplex structures with monomaterial substrates.

Madrid, 21 September 2021 – EMSUR, Grupo Lantero’s Packaging Division, has launched EM-Full RFlex, its new range of PE and PP-based flexible packaging. This solution aims to improve recyclability as well as improving food preservation thanks to its barrier properties.

These new flexible packaging solutions have been developed by EMSUR Group in direct collaboration with INNOTECH (R+D+I Centre) and EMSUR’s Saymopack (Valencia) and EMSUR SPO (Ballée) production sites.

The different structures in this type of laminate aim to respond to the needs of FMCG customers who require packaging solutions for bags or Doypacks with monomaterial compositions and barrier properties for a range of product categories, including snacks, confectionery, coffee and tea, fresh and processed foods, and home and personal care, etc.

These flexible packaging solutions are available in transparent film as well as printed with possibility of different varnishes, gloss, matte, or paper effects. Their development is applicable both to rotogravure and flexographic printing and is transferrable to Group plants worldwide.

The main benefits, in addition to the improved recyclability of this type of packaging, are its excellent barrier and sealing properties. This new development can also be used as a packaging solution and recyclable alternative for food products that require BIO, Natural or Organic positionings.
